Sapiens observes World Kidney Day

Sapiens Health foundation an NGO from Chennai observed the World Kidney Day 2026 on March 10th. A Documentary on Sapiens Health Foundation’s journey and key mile stones was screened on the occasion. Dr Rajan Ravichandran, Chairman of the foundation spoke on the efforts put by the foundation towards prevention of kidney disease. He also highlighted about the treatment of a disease called Cystinosis which the foundation has been sponsoring since 2012. 

Rajiv Menon, eminent Film Maker, the Chief Guest for the function released the salt reduction guide in various languages and lauded Sapiens for its work. Dr. T. Balasubramaniyan, Director, Institute of Nephrology, Rajiv Gandhi Government General hospital and Madras Medical College elaborated on the World Kidney Day theme. As part of the awareness campaign on better health a doctor’s diet/recipe booklet and a measuring spoon for salt usage was distributed to the audience.
