In a move aimed at addressing India’s growing shortage of skilled professionals in artificial intelligence and data analytics, global data and AI leader SAS has partnered with Jaypee Business School (JBS) to launch a specialized MBA program in AI and Data Science. The collaboration seeks to align management education with the country’s rapidly expanding digital and analytics-driven economy.
The new postgraduate program is designed to equip students with both technical expertise and business acumen required for data-led decision-making and AI-enabled enterprise transformation. By combining SAS’s industry expertise in analytics and artificial intelligence with Jaypee Business School’s academic framework, the curriculum blends classroom learning with practical, real-world applications.
As part of the partnership, students will receive hands-on training on SAS software through structured lab sessions and capstone projects. They will also have the opportunity to earn globally recognized SAS certifications, enhancing their industry readiness. The program further offers exposure to real business challenges through internships, workshops, and guest lectures conducted by SAS professionals. Joint research initiatives in artificial intelligence and machine learning are also planned under the collaboration.
Jaypee Business School Director Prof. Anubha Vashisht said the integration of SAS platforms into the curriculum would strengthen practical learning and bridge the gap between management education and advanced data-driven decision-making. She added that the initiative would significantly enhance student employability.
Bhuvan Nijhawan, Senior Director – Education, SAS Asia Pacific, said organizations increasingly require professionals who can translate data into actionable business decisions, and the program aims to prepare students to contribute from day one.
The collaboration underscores the growing importance of academic–industry partnerships in preparing future-ready talent for India’s evolving digital landscape.
