SCR bags top PRSI awards in Hyderabad

South Central Railway (SCR) Public Relations Department has been honoured with three awards by the Public Relations Society of India (PRSI), Hyderabad Chapter, at the Public Relations Awards–2026. SCR secured first prizes in Media Relations and Crisis Communication, and second prize in Social Media Communication.

The awards were presented during the 4th Telangana Public Relations Conference held on Saturday at Hotel The Plaza, Begumpet, Hyderabad, on the theme “Telangana Rising 2047: Communication, Innovation & Empowerment.” The awards were given by Sri K. Sreenivas Reddy, Chairman, Media Academy of Telangana; Prof. K. Nageswar, former MLC; and Smt. Ch. Priyanka, IAS, Special Commissioner, I&PR Department.

SCR Chief Public Relations Officer A. Sridhar, along with Sr. PRO M. Pradeep Kumar and PRO K. Rajesh, received the awards. The recognition highlights SCR’s strong media engagement, timely crisis communication during disruptions, and active use of social media platforms like X, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube for passenger information and railway updates.
