Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager, South Central Railway undertook safety inspection of  Kakinada – Samalkot – Rajamundry – Nidadavolu – Eluru section of Vijayawada Division on Wednesday. He was accompanied by Narendra Patil, Vijayawada Divisional Railway Manager and other senior officials. The General Manager commenced the inspection at Kakinada Port station wherein he examined facilities available.

Further, he carried out an inspection of Samalkot Railway station, where he reviewed the passenger amenities. After that he inspected Rajahmundry Railway station,conducted a detailed inspection of the Godavari Railway Bridge and reviewed the safety aspects.The General Manager proceeded to Nidadavolu Railway station, wherein he reviewed the progress of redevelopment works. 

Later the General Manager inspected Level Crossing Gate wherein he reviewed the safety aspects and examined the official records. Further, the General Manager carried out a detailed inspection of Eluru Railway station, wherein he reviewed the passenger amenities, the station master’s office and reviewed the entries.
