Arun Kumar Jain, General Manager(GM)of South Central Railway on Thursday inaugurated Cardiac Cath Lab and advanced cardiac unit at Central Hospital, Lalaguda. The new lab will enable the hospital to perform critical procedures like angiograms and angioplasties thereby ensuring timely intervention for patients. 

The Advanced Cardiac Unit includes a modern Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and a Cardiothoracic Operation Theatre (OT), offering comprehensive cardiac care under one roof. This makes Central Hospital at Lalaguda the fourth hospital across Indian Railways to be equipped with a Cath Lab. Speaking on the occasion, GM Arun Kumar Jain expressed that the new facility marks a major step towards further strengthening healthcare infrastructure for Railway employees and their families.
