To improve passenger convenience and streamline traffic movement, the South Central Railway (SCR) will implement an Access Control System at the newly developed Charlapalli Railway Terminal from midnight on June 15.

The modern terminal, developed to ease congestion at Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Kacheguda and Lingampally railway stations, features spacious waiting halls, escalators, lifts, modular toilets and a dedicated parking area spread across more than 6,600 square metres.

Under the new system, passengers will receive free vehicle exit within 20 minutes for pick-up and drop-off purposes. Digital ticketing and automated receipts will be introduced, while overstay charges will apply only beyond the free period. The Parking Tariff in nominated parking area is Rs.20 for Four Wheelers for the first Two Hours, and Rs.10 for every subsequent Hour (or part thereof), and Rs.15 for two and three wheelers for first Two Hours and Rs.10 for every subsequent Hour (or part thereof).

SCR officials said the initiative will help prevent unauthorized parking, improve traffic flow, ensure safer pedestrian movement and provide easier access to autos, taxis and other transport services at the terminal.
