Hyderabad: Telangana Minister Seethakka launched a scathing attack on the BRS leadership, accusing them of enacting 'dramas' in the name of 'Deeksha Diwas'. She alleged that while the BRS celebrated the event for just one day during its rule, it is now misleading people with a 10-day campaign.
Questioning the BRS’s decade-long governance, Seethakka demanded that the party explain what development it achieved in those 10 years. In contrast, she said the Congress government, despite being in power for only two years, has rolled out numerous welfare schemes, attracted investments, and initiated key projects.
She further alleged that BRS extended Deeksha Diwas to 10 days only to 'counter' the Congress government’s outreach programs. She also criticised the KCR family, claiming they benefited “hundreds of times” after Telangana statehood.
Recalling a previous case filed against her and colleagues for demanding COVID-19 treatment under Aarogyasri, Seethakka said the protest was for the poor, not politics. She noted that arguments presented by lawyers Naguluri Krishna Kumar Goud, Narendra Kurma, and SS Rao led the court to adjourn the case to December 18, expressing confidence that justice would prevail.
