Vijayawada witnessed a star-studded moment on Friday as Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar visited the city along with his wife Geetha. The celebrated actor offered prayers at the iconic Kanaka Durga Temple on Indrakeeladri, marking his first-ever darshan at the hill shrine.
After the visit, Shiva Rajkumar interacted with the media, speaking candidly about his ongoing projects, Tollywood connect, and an unexpected question that stirred curiosity.
The actor revealed that he has already received two to three exciting offers from Telugu filmmakers. However, he clarified that he has not signed any project yet, despite the strong interest from Tollywood. “I love Telugu cinema and the affection people here show. Offers have come, but nothing is finalised,” he said.
Shiva Rajkumar is currently portraying veteran CPI(ML) leader and former Illandu MLA Gummadi Narsaiah in an upcoming biographical film. The film’s first look featuring the Kannada icon in a strikingly authentic Narsaiah get-up has already impressed audiences and elevated expectations.
But the most interesting moment came when he was asked whether he would act in a biopic of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu? The actor smiled and offered a thoughtful reply. “This is my first time acting in a biopic. Future opportunities… we will see when they come,” he said, leaving the door intriguingly open without making any commitments.
While the actor maintained diplomatic restraint, the very idea of Shiva Rajkumar donning the role of Chandrababu Naidu has already generated chatter in both political and film circles.
