Believe it. Even as the barrage of words are exchanged on a daily basis by the BRS and Congress Party over Rythu Bharosa, the farmers from the BRS stronghold received Rs 116 crore aid till date. Siddipet, the district represented by two big names of BRS- its President K Chandrashekar Rao and former minister T Harish Rao has received the highest quantum of funds (Rs 116 crore) as financial assistance under Rythu Bharosa scheme for the Yasangi 2024-25 season, thus far, compared to other districts in the state.
Also the number of farmers benefitted was also highest in Siddipet district compared to the rest of the state with over 1.86 lakh farmers laughing all the way to bank with the fresh development.
This district has three assembly segments represented by BRS MLAs (Gajwel-K Chandrashekar Rao, Siddipet-T Harish Rao and Dubbak-Kotha Prabhakar Reddy with the fourth segment Husnabad represented by Congress in the form of Minister Ponnam Prabhakar.
In three installments till now, the Telangana government has released a total of Rs 1,834.09 crore funds under Rythu Bharosa scheme benefitting 30.11 lakh farmers cultivating a total of 30.57 lakh acres across the state. Each farmer received a financial assistance of Rs 6000 per acre of land.
In the latest development, Rs 707.5 crore was released on Monday ( February 10) to farmers owning up to two acres of cultivable land, benefitting 8.65 lakh farmers. Previously, on February 5, Rs 530 crore was released as the second installment, assisting 17.03 lakh farmers owning up to one acre. The scheme’s initial installment was launched on January 26 with Rs 569 crore distributed to 4.41 lakh farmers from 577 pilot villages.
After Siddipet comes Nalgonda distrct
The top five districts that received the highest quantum of funds under the Rythu Bharosa scheme include Siddipet, which received Rs 116.26 crore benefitting 1.86 lakh farmers, followed by Nalgonda with Rs 113.34 crore benefitting 1.85 lakh farmers. Sangareddy secured the third spot with Rs 106.77 crore benefitting 1.82 lakh farmers, while Kamareddy received Rs 90.83 crore for 1.73 lakh farmers. Nizamabad rounded off the list with Rs 87.77 crore benefitting 1.42 lakh farmers.
