Sri Sri Holistic Hospitals has introduced India’s first Pulse Field Ablation (PFA) technology integrated with the CARTO™ 3 System Version 8 and CARTO ELEVATE™ Module, marking a major advancement in the treatment of cardiac rhythm disorders.
The technology was launched on 12 May 2026 at the hospital under the leadership of Prof. Dr. V. S. Ramchandra, Chief of Cardiology & Electrophysiology, along with senior specialists including Dr. Biju Govind, Dr. Bharani Velam, and Dr. Prakash Nanjaiah, Chief Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeon.
The new system combines advanced 3D electro-anatomical mapping, intracardiac imaging, and Pulse Field Ablation to treat complex arrhythmias such as atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and atrial flutter. Hospital officials stated that Sri Sri Holistic Hospitals is the first in India to use this technology specifically for atrial fibrillation ablation.
Doctors highlighted that the technique offers safer and faster procedures, with minimal risk to surrounding structures like nerves, arteries, and the esophagus. It also significantly reduces procedure time and allows quicker recovery, with selected patients eligible for same-day discharge.
The hospital said the launch strengthens its position as an Advanced Atrial Fibrillation Ablation Centre and reinforces its commitment to bringing globally advanced, minimally invasive cardiac care to patients in India.
