Minister for IT and Industries D. Sridhar Babu on Friday reviewed the activities of Telangana Life Sciences and announced a structured leadership transition.
The transition follows the request of Shakthi M. Nagappan, Director (Life Sciences) and Chief Executive Officer, Telangana Life Sciences Foundation, to step down from his current role in order to pursue entrepreneurial initiatives.
Recognising the need for continuity, institutional stability, and sustained momentum, the Minister has requested Nagappan to continue in his current role until the end of March 2026. Post March 2026, Nagappan will continue to support the Minister as an Advisor in an honorary capacity, in view of his pivotal role in shaping Telangana’s Life Sciences ecosystem and strengthening its national and global engagements.
During the transition period, Sarvesh Singh, who was recently appointed, will work closely with Nagappan to facilitate comprehensive knowledge transfer.
Following the completion of this transition phase, Sarvesh Singh will assume charge as Director (Lifesciences).
The Minister acknowledged Nagappan’s significant contributions in positioning Telangana as a leading global life sciences hub and noted that he will continue to be associated with the sector’s growth.
