STAR Hospitals has released a free public health book titled “The Human Bone Joints Explained: The Ultimate Guide to Joint Health and Care,” aimed at raising awareness about joint disorders and promoting preventive care. The book was launched at STAR Hospitals, Banjara Hills, on Thursday by three former patients whose mobility was restored through treatment by orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Neelam V. Ramana Reddy.

Authored from Dr. Reddy’s 25 years of experience in robotic joint replacement and orthopaedic surgery, the guide explains joint health, common disorders, treatment options, and preventive measures in simple language. The digital publication is available free of cost through the hospital’s website.

According to STAR Hospitals, changing lifestyles, prolonged sitting, poor posture, obesity, and reduced physical activity are leading to a rise in joint degeneration among younger adults. Orthopaedic specialists are increasingly treating patients in their 30s and 40s for arthritis, cartilage damage, and mobility-related problems.

The book offers practical advice on weight management, anti-inflammatory diets, posture correction, and low-impact exercises such as swimming and cycling. It also addresses common myths about arthritis and joint care while highlighting advances in robotic-assisted joint replacement and artificial intelligence-driven treatment planning. Hospital officials said the initiative reflects STAR Hospitals’ commitment to making medical knowledge accessible and encouraging early intervention to reduce the growing burden of musculoskeletal disorders across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
