District Collector Kumar Deepak has stated that students can achieve their chosen goals if they study with dedication and hard work. As part of the state government’s Praja Palana Pragati Pranalika – 99 Days Action Plan, the ‘Vidya Varotsavalu – Vidya Vijayotsavam’ programme was organized on Sunday at the collectorate meeting hall under the auspices of the Education Department. The Collector attended the event along with District Education Officer S. Yadayya.

Speaking on the occasion, Collector Kumar Deepak said the government is making concerted efforts to strengthen the education sector. He highlighted that all government schools are being provided with drinking water, electricity, toilets, compound walls, additional classrooms, and other basic facilities, along with nutritious meals as per the menu. He informed that steps are being taken to complete development works in government schools at the earliest.

He advised students to pursue higher education with greater commitment, discipline, and focus, and to set high goals. “Hard work in studies will definitely help you achieve your targets,” he said. The Collector assured that the government is committed to providing quality education by developing all government schools. He expressed his happiness that the pass percentage in the district increased from 91.4% in 2023-24 to 97.20% in 2025-26

He credited the excellent performance of students from government schools, model schools, and Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas to the hard work of teachers and the encouragement of parents. The DEO further revealed that student enrolment in government schools has increased from 1,27,000 in 2024-25 to 1,32,000 in 2025-26, registering a growth of 3.75%. He described this rise in both enrolment and results as proof of the excellent functioning of government schools under the guidance of the District Collector.
