The Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone Team, Hyderabad, apprehended two persons for selling banned glass-coated nylon Chinese Manja bobbins and seized 191 bobbins worth approximately ₹1.91 lakh on January 14, 2026.
Acting on credible information, the Task Force caught Hussain Agha (37) and Syed Saddiq Hussain Jaffery (35) while they were selling the banned Manja near the backside of Murtuza Chaman, Yakuthpura, under the limits of Rein Bazar Police Station. Another accused, Ramzan of Mumbai, who allegedly supplied the Manja, is absconding.

The sale of Chinese Manja is banned in Telangana under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986, to safeguard human life and birds.
The accused, along with the seized material, were handed over to the SHO, Rein Bazar Police Station, for further legal action. The arrests were made under the supervision of Inspector K. Adi Reddy and officers of the South Zone Task Force.
