Sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone Team, apprehended two drug offenders in Hyderabad and seized 8 grams of MDMA and 0.8 grams of OG, collectively worth Rs 1,00,000.

The arrested accused have been identified as Anwar Hussain (33), an IT recruiter from Chintalmet, and Burra Sampath (31), a car driver from Bandlaguda Jagir. Another accused, Charan of Bengaluru, is absconding. Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused, having a prior criminal background and inadequate earnings, procured drugs from Charan after transferring Rs 38,000 online on January 8, 2026, with the intent to sell them for easy money.

Acting on credible information, the Task Force team apprehended the duo on January 14, 2026, and seized the narcotics from their possession. The accused and the seized material were handed over to Attapur Police Station for further investigation.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of Inspector Ch. Yadender and SIP Md. Jahed of the West Zone Task Force.
