Tata Power has launched its EZ Home Solutions in Hyderabad, bringing smart home automation focused on comfort, safety, and energy efficiency. The move positions the city as a key market for connected living. EZ Home enables app-based control of lighting, climate, security, and energy systems, offering real-time monitoring and automation tailored to urban lifestyles.

The portfolio includes smart sockets, touch panel switches, retrofittable converters, and motion sensors. These can be installed in existing electrical setups without major changes, making them suitable for both new and old homes. Safety features include overload protection and safeguards against voltage fluctuations and power surges. Appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, fans, and washing machines can be scheduled for optimized usage. The system also supports offline functionality during limited internet connectivity.

A major share of savings comes from intelligent air-conditioning optimization, reducing unnecessary cooling. An interactive demo wall was put up at the launch showcased real-time usage and savings. The initiative is part of the “EZ Home – 100 Cities, 1 Purpose” programme aimed at expanding smart home solutions across metros and smaller cities. Tata Power, part of the Tata Group, operates a 15.9 GW diversified portfolio, including 7 GW of clean energy, serving around 13 million customers, with a Net Zero target by 2045.
