Indian animation cinema continues to gain momentum, following the resounding success of Maha Avatar Narasimha earlier this year, which captivated audiences of all ages with its record-breaking run. Building on this wave, Inika Studios (also referred to as Inika Productions) has unveiled the teaser for its upcoming heartwarming animated film Kiki & Koko at a press meet held at Prasads Preview Theatre in Hyderabad.

The film, produced by Dharani and directed by P. Narayanan, with child artiste Srinika voicing the character of Koko, promises an edutainment experience that blends entertainment with meaningful life lessons.  As per director P. Narayanan, the film, unlike typical fantasy-driven animations, focuses on realism, portraying the extraordinary bond between Koko, a young child, and Kiki, a lovable pet (depicted as a doggy).

He mentioned that through their adventures, it teaches children essential values such as self-love, respecting elders, apologizing for mistakes, expressing gratitude, helping others, sharing, caring, and living with humility. The team, including Creative Director Gokul Raj Bhaskar and CEO Meena Chabria, emphasized creating a story grounded in real emotions rather than fantasy, aiming to counter modern influences like violence and fast-paced lifestyles.

The film targets not just children but also adults with childlike hearts and parents seeking guidance on raising kids. It will release theatrically and on OTT platforms next year in nine languages, including multiple Indian and international ones, with plans for merchandise, apps, books, and potentially a series. This project marks a bold step for Indian animation, proudly showcasing homegrown talent and storytelling that resonates globally.
