Telangana Rajyadhikara Party chief and Graduate MLC Teenmaar Mallanna demanded the immediate implementation of the Kamareddy BC Declaration promised by Congress Party during 2023 elections campaign and urged the government to allocate Rs 1 lakh crore in the state budget for the development of BC communities.
Mallanna was the Chief Guest for a meeting of BC organizations and public representatives held on Sunday at Hotel Central Court in Lakdikapool under the leadership of Telangana BC Federation President Erra Satyanarayana. Speaking on the occasion, Mallanna called for 42% reservation for BCs in education, employment and politics and demanded the immediate implementation of a BC Atrocities Prevention Act to curb injustices against BC communities.
He also questioned whether a BC Chief Minister is possible in the current political system. He further criticized the present government for placing a heavier burden on BC unemployed youth compared to the previous government. He emphasized that real change will happen only when BC communities move beyond a position of dependency and begin to assert their rights boldly.
Mallanna made it clear that the older generation had endured many humiliations, but the present generation would no longer tolerate such injustice. He called for a strong political movement if necessary to bring structural change in the political system to ensure justice for BC communities. The meeting was attended by former Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, former MP V.Hanumantha Rao, former minister Srinivas Goud, former MLA Putta Madhu, professors, leaders of BC organizations and several public representatives.
