Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has announced the grand celebrations marking the completion of two years of the Congress government led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, along with the launch of the visionary “Telangana Rising 2047” policy document and Global Summit.
As part of the statewide celebrations, massive public events will be organised across former combined districts from December 1 to 6. The schedule includes Makthal (combined Mahabubnagar) on December 1, Kothagudem (combined Khammam) on December 2, Husnabad (combined Warangal) on December 3, Adilabad on December 4, Narsampet (combined Warangal) on December 5, and Devarakonda (combined Nalgonda) on December 6. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will personally attend all these programmes as the chief guest, accompanied by respective ministers, MLAs, MLCs, and MPs.
The highlight of the celebrations will be the two-day “Telangana Rising Global Summit” on December 8 and 9 at Future City. On December 8, the government will showcase the welfare and development achievements of the past two years under the people’s government established in Indiramma Rajyam. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will also lay the foundation stone for major development works at the iconic Osmania University and hold discussions with intellectuals on the future of education.
On December 9, coinciding with the second anniversary of the Congress government, the state will release the “Telangana Rising 2047” Vision Document – a detailed roadmap to transform Telangana into a $3 trillion economy by 2047 and compete globally. Top global business leaders, industry pioneers, and achievers from diverse fields have been invited to grace the summit. Exhibition stalls set up during the event will remain open to the public on December 11, 12, and 13. The celebrations will culminate on December 13 with world football legend Lionel Messi visiting Hyderabad for a special exhibition football match at Uppal Stadium.
Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu emphasised that the government is firmly committed to achieving a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and a $3 trillion economy by 2047. He revealed that the Vision Document has been crafted after gathering valuable suggestions from over four lakh citizens across all sections of society to ensure it is realistic, inclusive, and action-oriented.
