Door-to-door surveys ordered

In preparation for the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR), the Additional Chief Electoral Officer of Telangana, Dr. Vasam Venkateswar Reddy, IAS, chaired a video conference today to review electoral preparedness across six key districts: Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Sangareddy, Medchal–Malkajgiri, Nizamabad, and Khammam.

The session focused on 28 Assembly Constituencies where electoral mapping currently stands below 50%. Dr. Reddy issued a mandate to map all eligible voters from the 2025 electoral roll against the 2002 voter list. To ensure accuracy, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been directed to conduct comprehensive door-to-door visits to finalize mapping and verify voter details.

Key directives from the Additional CEO included

■ Cleaning the Rolls: Immediate identification and removal of deceased, duplicate, or shifted voters following standard operating procedures (SOP).

■ Community Engagement: Leveraging the support of Booth Level Agents (BLAs) and coordinating with Residential Welfare Associations (RWAs) to boost mapping efforts.

■ Form Management: Expediting the disposal of Demographically Similar Entries (DSE) and clearing the pendency of Forms 6, 6A, 7, and 8.

■ VVIP Enrollment: Ensuring VVIP and VIP electors are correctly categorized and marked within the rolls.
