Telangana Rising Unstoppable

09-12-2025 12:00:00 AM

State poised to compete with China, Japan, Korea, says CM Revanth Reddy

  1. Telangana to contribute 10% to India’s national GDP by 2047, doubling its current contribution of 5%.
  2. The state government plans to achieve a USD 1 trillion economy by 2034 and a USD 3 trillion economy by 2047, focusing on significant economic growth.
  3. Telangana to replicate China’s Guang-Dong province success story.
  4. Economic strategy comprises: CURE (Core Urban Region Economy), PURE (Peri-Urban Region Economy), and RARE (Rural Agriculture Region Economy)
  5. Union Coal Minister G. Kishan Reddy expressed the Centre's commitment to collaborating with the Telangana government to support its development ambitions, recognizing the state's potential in contributing to 'Viksit Bharat 2047'.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy declared that “Telangana Rising is unstoppable” as he unveiled the long-term growth vision of the state at the Telangana Rising Global Summit on Saturday. The CM said Telangana is now preparing to compete with global economic powerhouses such as China, Japan, Germany, South Korea and Singapore, and is determined to position itself among the world’s leading growth destinations by 2047.

Addressing national and international leaders from business, industry, diplomacy and policy in the inagural session, the Chief Minister drew parallels between Telangana’s future roadmap and the world’s most successful development models. He cited China’s Guangdong province as a major inspiration, noting how it emerged as the fastest growing region within two decades. Telangana, he asserted, is ready to replicate and accelerate such growth.

Revanth Reddy said that Telangana’s journey—much like India’s own post-Independence nation-building process—will be rooted in deliberation, consultation and expert guidance. He recalled how India’s founding leaders drafted the Constitution through deep debate and consensus, and said the state had adopted a similar approach while shaping the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision.

The CM reiterated that Telangana’s formation in 2014 was the result of decades of struggle and the unwavering support of UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh. A decade later, he affirmed, the goal is to transform the country’s youngest state into the most developed one in India and a globally competitive growth hub.

Revanth Reddy explained that the Telangana Rising 2047 blueprint was shaped after extensive consultations with citizens, academics, administrators, central government experts, ISB and NITI Aayog. The vision sets ambitious but achievable targets:

$1 trillion economy by 2034, $3 trillion economy by 2047, contribution to national GDP to rise from 5% to 10% by 2047 To achieve these goals, Telangana will become India’s first state to adopt a three-zone economic development model, termed CURE–PURE–RARE:

CURE — Core Urban Region Economy, focused on services and high-value industries, PURE — Peri-Urban Region Economy, driving manufacturing and emerging sectors and RARE — Rural Agriculture Region Economy, strengthening farm productivity and rural prosperity

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that with the participation of global leaders, investors, innovators and policymakers present at the summit, the state is entering a transformative phase. He emphasised that while the vision ahead is challenging, Telangana possesses the ambition and capability to achieve unprecedented growth.

“If something is difficult, we will do it immediately. If you think it is impossible, I will give you more time as the deadline,” he said, stressing his government’s determination.

Concluding his address, Revanth Reddy urged global partners to join the movement: “Telangana Rising is unstoppable. Come, join the rise.”

Eric Swider, Director of Trump Media and Technology Group Corp on Monday said the firms he represents will be investing Rs 1 lakh crore in Telangana's upcoming "Bharat Future City" near here, over the next 10 years.

Addressing the inaugural session of Telangana Rising Global Summit, Swider said it would be blind not to see that the technology capitalists around the world are coming from India and the country is on the rise.

"I would like the Honorable Chief Minister (A Revanth Reddy) to know that over the next 10 years,

it is my intention to deploy through our organizations, up to Rs 1 lakh crore into the Future City and into the areas of development here and I'm very, very grateful for that opportunity," he said.

Swider currently serves as the CEO and board member for Renatus Tactical Acquisition Corp and previously served as the CEO of Digital World Acquisition Corp which later merged with Trump media and Technology.

"A lot of this talent is coming out of India. And now you move forward to today, and you would be blind not to see that the technology capitalists around the world are coming from India. India is on the rise, and I don't think India is going to stop. I think India will continue to be on the rise, it will lead the world in technology," he said. Telangana Special Chief Secretary Jayesh Ranjan requested Swider to inform Trump that a street in Hyderabad has been named after the US President.
