Telangana to push key road projects

A high-level delegation led by Telangana Roads & Buildings (R&B) Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy will represent the State at the two-day national workshop, Chintan Shivir–2026, starting Monday at Ekta Nagar near the Statue of Unity in Gujarat.

Organised by the Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways under the chairmanship of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, the workshop will focus on PM Gati Shakti and strengthening Centre-State coordination on key infrastructure projects. R&B Ministers and senior officials from across the country are expected to attend the five sessions scheduled over October 5 and 6.

Accompanying the Minister are R&B Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj, Chief Engineers B.V. Rao, Dharma Reddy, Vasanth Naik, and other senior officials.

On the sidelines of the summit, Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy will hold bilateral talks with Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to press for Centre support on crucial Telangana road networks. Key agenda items include the Regional Ring Road (RRR), the expansion of National Highway 65, the LB Nagar double-decker elevated corridor, and the proposed Bharat Future City–Amaravati Greenfield Highway.

Following directions from Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, the delegation aims to expedite clearances and funding allocations for the State's major infrastructure initiatives.
