Former CPI National Secretary and former Nalgonda MP Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy's last journey has come to an end. The final yatra began with government formalities from Maqdoom Bhavan, the CPI state office in Himayatnagar. His body was donated by his family members to Gandhi Medical College after the culminated at the college.
Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy visited Maqdoom Bhavan to pay his respects to Sudhakar Reddy and offered condolences to his family members The Chief Minister referred to Sudhakar Reddy as a remarkable leader who championed the cause of the underprivileged. He assured that the government would acknowledge Sudhakar Reddy’s contributions and would consider naming a development project in his honour. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu paid floral tributes to Sudhakar Reddy and recalled his relationship. On this occasion, he visited the family members and offered his condolences.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka also paid his last respects and said that from the student days until last breath, Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy lived a life committed to values. The Deputy Chief Minister said that he could never forget the struggle Sudhakar Reddy led along with the Congress party during the electricity agitation. "Many welfare programs taken up by the Congress party after coming to power in the erstwhile united state were influenced by the ideas of Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy," he said.
