We lost well-mannered actor: Venkaiah Naidu

Former vice-president Venkaiah Naidu said the death of famous actor Kota Srinivasa Rao was very sad. He visited Kota's mortal remains and paid tributes in the city. "He was an exceptional actor and a humanitarian, who acted in hundreds of the films and entertained the audience. He was elected as an MLA and served the people. Kota has been greatly affected by the untimely death of his son. We have lost a good, cultured actor. I pray to God to grant peace to Kota Srinivasa Rao's soul," Venkaiah Naidu said.

Pawan Kalyan saddened

Actor Pawan Kalyan said he was deeply saddened to know that Kota Srinivasa Rao, who was an address for distinctive acting in the Telugu film industry, had breathed his last. “I pray to God that his soul may rest in peace. He played diverse roles on the Telugu screen as a villain and a character artiste. As a middle-class father, as a naughty grandfather, he has become a part of every role. He entertained the audience in an important role in my first film 'Akkada Ammy Ikka Abbayi'. Kota Srinivasa Rao's dialogue delivery and gestures captivated the audience. I express my deepest condolences to his family,” he said.

Former CM and BRS president KCR expressed his condolences on the death of Kota Srinivasa Rao. He said Kota was a unique silver screen actor,  who played various roles and added  that he had cemented his place in the hearts of the audience. He said the film industry had lost a great actor with Kota's death. He wished that Kota’s soul may rest in peace. He expressed his deepest condolences to the family members and fans of Kota Srinivasa Rao.

Megastar Chiranjeevi said the  news that the legendary actor and versatile talent Kota Srinivasa Rao was no more was very disturbing. “He and I started our film career with 'Pranam Khareedhu'. After that, he acted in many different roles in hundreds of films and made each role his own unique and special style, making him a permanent fixture in the hearts of the Telugu audience. He played any role like comedy, villain, supporting character, and so on. The film industry and film lovers will never be able to fill the gap of an actor like Kota Srinivasa Rao. I pray that his soul may rest in peace,” he said.
