Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced Indiramma Athmeeya Bharosa scheme to every acre of cultivable land owned by the farmers without any conditions. Under the newly designed scheme, Rs 12,000 will be provided per year as against the Rs 10,000 assistance provided by the previous government.

Also, CM announced that Rs. 12,000  will also be given to each landless agricultural laborer family every year. This scheme will be henceforth known as "Indiramma Atmiya Bharosa Scheme".

No sooner did CM announced Rs 12,000 amount for every year, BRS leaders faulted the Congress party for not keeping up its promise of enhancing the Rythu Bharosa amount to Rs 15,000 every year and instead settled for Rs 12,000.

“We have decided to implement Rythu Bharosa scheme from January 26, 2025. Under Rythu Bharosa Scheme, Govt will offer Rs 12,000 per acre every year. While previous BRS government gave Rs 10,000 per acre, we have decided to offer Rs 12,000 per acre.

We have arrived at this amount, after considering the financial situation of Telangana at present,” said Revanth Reddy, giving a big update on Rythu Bharosa for Telangana farmers in the Saturday night press conference afer the conclusion of the Cabinet meeting.

“Rythu Bharosa will be given to all the agriculture lands, without any hindrance. Only those lands which are not suitable for agriculture, NALA converted lands and lands given for real estate ventures and industries will be eliminated from Rythu Bharosa,” said Revanth Reddy giving clarity on the eligibility.

This means, Govt has not put any limit on acres for issuing Rythu Bharosa and almost all the eligible agriculture land holders will receive Rythu Bharosa benefit under the new scheme.

Rythu Bharosa is not applicable to non-agricultural lands such as mining, hills, mounds, real estate ventures, roads, lands used for residential, industrial, commercial purposes, lands converted as Nala, lands acquired by the government for various projects.

The cabinet has decided to provide new ration cards to those who do not have ration cards and the schemes will roll out from January 26, 2025.

We have decided to implement these schemes on the occasion of the completion of 75 years of the implementation of the Constitution. Our government's policy is to increase government revenue and distribute it to the people.

It has been decided to appoint a technical expert committee to examine the ways and alternatives to provide irrigation water from Jurala to the new Maritha ayacut in Mahabubnagar district.

The committee will study the feasibility of taking more water for the existing projects.

Telangana Cabinet decides to name Palamuru-Ranga Reddy lift irrigation scheme after former Union Minister S Jaipal Reddy. It was decided to name the Singur project after Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha's father, late Minister Rajanarsimha.

The Cabinet has given the green signal to the Godavari Drinking Water Supply Scheme Phase-2 and Phase-3, which will transfer Godavari water from Mallanna Sagar to meet Hyderabad drinking water needs.
