The Telangana Government announced for the Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia for the family of Pole Chandrashekar who was shot dead at a Texas gas station on October 4. The body was brought to Hyderabad on Friday night. Chandrasekhar, who went to the U.S in 2023 for his Master’s at University of Texas, was working part-time at the station when he was killed.

His family received the body at RGI Airport and took it to their residence in B N Reddy Nagar. Texas police arrested the accused two days after the incident. Ministers Sridhar Babu and Adluri Laxam Kumar paid their respects to the mortal remains. The state government announced Rs5 lakh ex-gratia for the family, and the minister assured a job for Chandradekhar’s brother through private or outsourcing channels.
