Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is eyeing Telangana's position as a premier investment destination in India, emphasizing the state’s favourable business environment for attracting national and international companies. He credited the state’s industrial policy and development initiatives with bolstering Telangana’s economy in the first year of Congress's governance.
The Chief Minister held a review meeting with officials of the Industries Department at his residence in Jubilee Hills to evaluate progress on investment projects and prepare for his upcoming international visits. IT & Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu, CM Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, TSIIC MD Vishnuvardhan Reddy, and other senior officials participated in the meeting.
The CM reviewed the status of agreements signed during the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2023 in Davos, which attracted investments to the tune of Rs 40,232 crore for 18 projects. Officials informed CM that 17 projects have commenced, with 10 at advanced stages and seven in the initial phases. Revanth expressed satisfaction with the progress and instructed officials to highlight Hyderabad’s strengths as a global hub for innovation and growth during his upcoming engagements.
As part of his six-day foreign tour, the Chief Minister will visit Singapore from January 16 to 19 and Davos from January 20 to 22. In Singapore, he will engage with representatives from Skill University and explore investment opportunities. In Davos, he will participate in the WEF Annual Meeting, promoting Telangana’s economic potential and strengthening ties with global industry leaders.
