Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has congratulated Telangana students for clinching the overall championship in the 4th EMRS National Sports Meet-2025. Telangana has won record-breaking medals in the 4th EMRS National Sports Meet-2025 held in Odisha on November 15. Telangana State secured 230 medals in athletics, archery, swimming, gymnastics, boxing, judo, wrestling, weightlifting, taekwondo, yoga, shooting, chess and other events.
From Telangana, students of 23 EMRS institutions participated in National Sports Meet. A total of 5,500 students from 499 EMRS institutions across 22 states participated in this national sports competition. Sports competitions were held in a total of 22 events, out of which, individual events are 15 and team events-07.
580 students from 23 schools participated in this national event representing Telangana. The students displayed outstanding performance in individual and team events. Telangana has won the championship with a total of 714 points.
The students, who won medals in the competitions, called on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy at his residence in Jubilee Hills on Friday. On the occasion, the Chief Minister has congratulated the students for their outstanding performance. Minister Adluri Lakshman and senior officials were also present.
