05-05-2025 12:00:00 AM

  1. Immediate payment of 5 DAs
  2. Clearance of pending bills
  3. Pay revision with 51% fitment
  4. Employees health scheme
  5. Departmental Promotion Committees to ensure timely promotions
  6. Transfer calendar with general transfers in April & May

The Telangana State Employees', Gazetted Officers', Teachers', Workers', and Pensioners' Joint Action Committee (TGEJAC) demanded that five DAs which were a right of employees should be released immediately at a meeting held at Sundarayya Vignana Bhavan on Sunday.

Another foremost priority among the demands was the clearance of ₹10,000 crore in pending bills They said that during a meeting with Chief Minister on October 24, 2024, he assured that pending bills would be cleared within 15 days but however, not even 10% has been cleared so far.

Speaking at the event, TGEJAC Chairman Maram Jagadishwar and Secretary General Eluri Sreenivasa Rao stated that though 18 months have passed since the change of power, despite repeated representations, and also agreeing to wait when time was requested for resolution, the government has shown no sincerity towards finding solutions.

They further complained  that though the term of PRC Chairman Shiva Shankar,  expired a one-and-a-half year ago the government has not even obtained its report yet. They demanded a pay revision with 51% fitment and also 5 pending DAs. Employees and pensioners have requested the implementation of a health scheme (EHS) with equal contribution from the government, the guidelines of which were established during the previous government.

The employees also requested the resolution of non-financial issues, such as the timely constitution of Departmental Promotion Committees (DPCs) to ensure timely promotions and the establishment of a specific transfer calendar with general transfers in April and May. Recalling that many surveys have indicated that Telangana employees work for longer hours, the employees urged the government to recognize this and resolve the fundamental issues of employees promptly without any further delay.
