Hyderabad: On the occasion of International Women's Day, the TGolf Foundation organized an exclusive Women’s Day Invitational Golf Tournament at Boulder Hills Golf & Country Club. Ms. Esha Singh — Arjuna Awardee, Olympian, and World No. 5 in the 10m Air Pistol Event — attended as the Chief Guest and presented the prizes to the winners. Speaking on the occasion, she said, “I am truly honored to be here presenting awards to the golfers.
I really appreciate the way TGolf maintains the course in pristine condition and encourages golfers through regular tournaments and events.” Dr. NRN Reddy, President & CEO of TGolf Foundation, said that the Women’s Day Invitational Tournament reflects the Foundation’s commitment to encouraging greater participation of women in golf and creating more opportunities for them to excel in the sport. He added that such initiatives aim to inspire young girls to take up golf and strengthen the future of women’s golf in India.
Ms. Amulya Guguloth and Dr. Swetha emerged as the Gross Winner and Runner-Up of the tournament respectively. Awards were also presented to winners across several categories including 0–12 Handicap, 13–26 Handicap, 27 and Above, Closest to the Pin, Straightest Drive, Long Drive, Junior Girls, Sub-Junior Girls, and the 9-Hole Golf Tournament. For non-golfers, Putting Competition was organized, and prizes were presented to the winners, enabling more participants to experience the joy of golf.
Mrs. Indrani Pendekanti, a Level A Certified Golf Coach, attended as a Guest of Honour and appreciated the TGolf Foundation for organizing such a meaningful event to celebrate and encourage women golfers. Ms. Amulya Guguloth, who also emerged as the Gross Winner, was felicitated as a Guest of Honour for her recent victory at the Hyderabad Open, India’s Premier Amateur Golf Championship. On the occasion, she was also presented with a cheque of ₹90,000 in recognition of her outstanding achievement. All the golfers and non-golfers expressed their happiness and appreciation for the way International Women’s Day was celebrated on the lush green course, making it a memorable and inspiring occasion for everyone present.
