The third session of the ‘Telugu Velugu Program,’ jointly organized by Yuvabharati Saahiti Samskruti Samstha and Satkala Bharati, was held at the IIMC College auditorium on Sunday (January 5).
Presiding over the event, Professor Vangapalli Vishwanatham stated that the Telugu Velugu Samakhya programs, which began at the Sri Krishnadevaraya Andhra Bhasha Nilayam, have reached their third session on Sunday.
He expressed gratitude to the various organizations that have come forward to support this initiative and hoped for more to join, enabling the program to continue for another 25 months.
Dr K V Ramanachary, former advisor to the Telangana Government and the chief guest of the event, expressed his hope that the Yuvabharati organization would grow to a level where it could host global Telugu conferences in the future.
He praised the continuity of the Telugu Velugu Samakhya programs and noted the significance of the IIMC auditorium as a venue for fostering such initiatives.
Satkala Bharati founder-president Satyanarayana, the guest of honor, highlighted the decreasing interest among today’s youth in the Telugu language. He also noted that the advent of AI is reducing children’s critical thinking skills. He shared that their organization has been serving the Telugu language for the past 27 years through various programs.
Kur Raghuveer, Principal, IIMC College and a cordial guest at the event, expressed his delight at the growing support for the Telugu Velugu programs. He mentioned that when the initiative began, 12 organizations came forward, and now the number has risen to 28.
He assured his wholehearted support both moral and financial if Yuvabharati organizes global Telugu conferences in the future.
He explained how theatrical performances contribute to the enrichment of linguistic heritage and bring about significant changes in individuals. He also highlighted the importance of Telugu theater and its legacy.
