450 CCTV cameras will be installed around the stadium

Rachakonda Commissioner Sudheer Babu instructed the officials to take all the necessary security precautions for the upcoming 18th edition of Tata IPL 2025 cricket tournament at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal.
A coordination meeting was held at the commissionerate office with DCPs, ACPs, and representatives of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), Uppal Stadium officials, and representatives of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) team.
Speaking at the meeting, CP Sudheer Babu instructed the officials not to allow laptops, electronic devices, match boxes, sharp objects, outside food items, and water bottles into the stadium under any circumstances, which could lead to security breaches and untoward incidents.
Since a large number of cricket fans are expected to come to the stadium to watch IPL matches, the authorities have been instructed to make strict security arrangements and provide ample parking space for cars and two-wheelers.
Officials were instructed to make arrangements to ensure that the traffic movement should not be disrupted on the main roads of Uppal stadium. CP said that approximately 450 CCTV cameras will be installed around the stadium, through which the stadium surroundings will be kept under electronic surveillance, and every movement will be recorded by the CCTV cameras.
He said that officers and personnel from various departments like civil, traffic, reserve police, SOT will be on security duty. He advised the IPL management team to ensure that there is no confusion in the distribution of tickets for the matches.And also CP suggested that unauthorized street vendors should not be allowed at the stadium entrances, and that those selling food and soft drinks inside the stadium should wear proper uniforms.
