Justice Satyanarayana Murthy who is inquiring into the stampede which took place in Tirupati in which six people died, will look into the maintenance of queue lines at Tirumala on the 14th, 15th and 16th of March.  District Collector Dr S Venkateswar, TTD EO Shyamala Rao  and SP Harshavardhan Raju have been summoned for the hearing to be held in Tirupati from the 17th of this month.

The stampede took place at Padmavathi Park Tirupati on the 8th of January at a ticket booking counter for Vaikuntha Ekadashi tokens. The hearing was previously held at the Tirupati Collectorate on 22nd February. Justice Satyanarayana Murthy elicited information from the injured and also from the family members of the victims virtually from Vijayawada  on 24th February.
