Hyderabad City Police Commissioner C V Anand has urged officers to remain vigilant and take preventive measures to ensure a peaceful Holi celebration, which coincides with the second Friday of Ramadan this year—a rare occurrence after 35 years.
During a video conference with city police officers on Thursday, Commissioner Anand emphasized the need for heightened security in sensitive and important areas across all zones. He instructed officers to implement advance measures to facilitate the smooth conduct of both events. The Commissioner also directed strict monitoring of anti-social elements and vagabonds to prevent any untoward incidents. Extending his wishes to the people of Hyderabad, Anand hoped for a vibrant and joyous Holi that brightens lives.
The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Additional CP (Law and Order) Vikram Singh Mann, DCP (Special Branch) Chaitanya Kumar, and zonal officers, who pledged to ensure public safety during the festivities.
