TPCC Vice President thanks GHMC Commissioner

TPCC Vice President and Congress Party In-charge for Sanathnagar Assembly Constituency, Dr. Kota Neelima met the GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan on Monday and thanked him for revising the proposed alignment of the Pattigadda–Rasoolpura Junction flyover after taking into consideration the representations submitted by residents of Pattigadda Colony. Dr. Neelima appreciated the Commissioner for ensuring that the revised alignment minimises inconvenience to residents and prevents the displacement of several families.

Speaking to the media, Dr. Neelima recalled that she had earlier met the Commissioner along with local residents and submitted a representation requesting a review of the proposed flyover alignment. She pointed out that the original alignment was likely to affect nearly 40 houses, displace hundreds of residents and impact several heritage and historically significant structures in the locality. She further stated that the residents had also prepared and submitted an alternative alignment proposal, which was forwarded to the authorities for consideration.
