CP calls for New Year celebrations within limits

Vijayawada City Police Commissioner Rajasekhar Babu has warned the residents of Vijayawada that action will be taken if they behave cross limits during the New Year celebrations . Speaking to reporters in Vijayawada on Sunday, CP Rajasekhar Babu said that the New Year celebrations should be acceptable, enjoyable, healthy and harmless.

He appealed to the people to recognize this matter and cooperate with the police. 

He advised motorists to drive vehicles cautiously after 11.00 pm and not to drive too fast, carelessly, or under the influence of alcohol.

He also said that triple riding should not be done under any circumstances. He said that traffic will not be allowed on Benz Circle & Kanaka Durga flyovers. He said that actions such as removing silencers from two-wheelers and making loud noises, speeding on the roads, performing stunts while driving vehicles, and bursting firecrackers disturb the peace of the city people.
