Padma Shri Aswathi Thirunal Gowri Lakshmi Bayi, a revered member of the Travancore Royal Family, visited the sacred Chilkur Balaji Temple on Monday, accompanied by her family. A celebrated author and poet, she is well known for her literary contributions on the legacy of Travancore and the iconic Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple.

Her visit symbolized the enduring spiritual connection between the Archaka-cum-Trustee family of Chilkur Balaji Temple and the Padmanabhadasa Royal Family of Travancore. During the visit, she was presented with the August 2025 edition of VAK Magazine, featuring a significant appeal by devotees addressed to the Attorney General of India.

The appeal urges constructive guidance to the Supreme Court in the ongoing deliberations of the 143 Special Reference, which concerns the constitutional roles of the Governors and the President. The visit highlighted not only shared cultural and spiritual heritage but also a united commitment to safeguarding constitutional values.
