The Commissioner's Task Force, Charminar Zone, in coordination with Warasiguda Police, arrested three persons for allegedly cloning a vehicle registration number and using it on three different Honda Activa scooters to evade law enforcement and financier action.

The accused were identified as Nakoti Mallikarjun (28), Bheem Ajay Reddy (29), and Koppula Dhanraj (30), all residents of Parsigutta in Secunderabad. Police seized three Honda Activa scooters bearing the same registration number, TS09 FE 4997.

The investigation revealed that one of the scooters was an unregistered financed vehicle. Mallikarjun allegedly affixed the registration number of his legally registered scooter to two unregistered vehicles to prevent repossession by a finance company over pending dues of Rs. 36,000 and to escape traffic challans. He reportedly allowed the other two accused to use the duplicate number plates as well. A case has been registered at Warasiguda Police Station under Sections 318(4) and 316(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and further investigation is underway.
