The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has begun a state-wide inspection of private and government junior colleges to ensure compliance with academic and administrative norms. The inspection drive will continue until November 15.
According to officials, special officers, deputy secretaries, and district intermediate education officers have been assigned to conduct these checks. The initiative aims to verify whether colleges are adhering to the board’s prescribed standards in areas such as faculty appointments, student attendance, and maintenance of institutional records.
TSBIE Secretary Krishna Aditya has issued detailed instructions, directing officials to closely examine documentation and submit comprehensive reports on their findings. The inspections will cover both public and private institutions, though greater attention is being placed on private colleges due to previous reports of irregularities.
The Board hopes that the findings from this inspection drive will lead to stronger regulatory enforcement and improved educational standards across the intermediate sector in Telangana.
