Two arrested for liquor theft in Adilabad

Adilabad: Adilabad police apprehended two men, Tekam Joshva alias Sachin and Shinde Ajay, for allegedly stealing liquor and cash from the Bela Mandal wine shop—the same outlet they had targeted one and a half months ago. Authorities recovered Rs 2.40 lakh in cash and alcohol worth Rs 15,000 from the duo. According to Jainath Inspector G Shravan, the suspects broke into the shop on the night of December 7, making away with Rs 2.57 lakh and liquor. During interrogation, Joshva and Ajay admitted they committed the crime to earn quick money, revealing they had spent Rs 17,000 from the stolen cash.

The men were previously arrested on October 29 along with Pusam Narayana for stealing alcohol worth Rs 13,400 and Rs 41,930 in cash from the same outlet. Police have launched further investigation into their activities.
