Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced a significant boost to rural industrial development in Kuppam with the establishment of two major agro-based industrial units by Shreeja Milk Producer Organisation and Mother Dairy. The projects are expected to generate nearly 8,000 jobs and contribute to the state's ambitious goal of eradicating poverty.

Speaking after a meeting with representatives from both companies, Naidu said the initiatives align with the government's vision of "Swarna Andhra" and its broader commitment to achieving "Zero Poverty." Land has already been allotted in Kuppam for the proposed units, which will directly support the local economy by sourcing produce from farmers. Shreeja Milk Producer Organisation will set up a state-of-the-art dairy and animal feed processing unit, while Mother Dairy will establish a fruit pulp processing facility. These projects will not only create thousands of employment opportunities but also enhance the income of local farmers through direct procurement of milk and horticultural produce.

“These transformative investment plans reflect our vision for a self-reliant rural economy,” Naidu stated. “By encouraging decentralized, farm-linked industries, we aim to empower farmers and drive inclusive growth.” The Chief Minister added that these efforts are part of a broader agreement signed with the Kuppam Area Development Authority (KADA), which was created to promote inclusive development in the region. The agreement facilitates industrial expansion, rural employment, and economic diversification in Kuppam and its surrounding areas.

Naidu emphasized the strategic importance of the agro-processing sector in boosting rural livelihoods and called for timely execution of the projects. “I have asked both Shreeja and Mother Dairy to complete their projects within 15 to 18 months,” he said.
