Casagrand GS Infinity faces backlash over nala encroachment and misleading public

Accused of violating norms near historic Mughal Ka Nala

Carrying out construction in the Gudimalkapur but advertising that the project is located in Attapur

Casagrand GS Infinity, a construction company, has come under fire for allegedly violating irrigation regulations and encroaching on the historic Mughal ka Nala near Mehdipatnam. Locals and civic observers claim that the company has flouted multiple norms while aggressively marketing the project using celebrity endorsements — despite not having completed foundational work.

Advance bookings without foundations

The company has been collecting money from homebuyers under the guise of "advance bookings," even though the project’s foundations are not fully laid. Investors argue that this is a deceptive tactic aimed at misleading the public and investors. Despite these concerns, officials from the Irrigation Department have remained inactive, further fueling suspicion of complicity or negligence.

False location claims in Karwan Circle

Casagrand GS Infinity is reportedly carrying out construction in the Gudimalkapur division of the Karwan Circle, while falsely advertising that the project is located in Attapur. This misrepresentation, locals claim, is an attempt to exploit the popularity and perceived value of Attapur to lure buyers.

The proposed construction plan includes a 33-storey building on approximately 4 acres of land, but on-ground verification reveals that even the foundational work remains incomplete. Nevertheless, the company has already begun booking units, raising concerns of potential buyer exploitation.

Illegal structures near historic nala

The controversy deepens with the erection of blue sheet barricades adjacent to the Mughal ka Nala — in direct violation of Irrigation Department regulations, which mandate a 9-meter buffer zone around nalas (stormwater drains). Locals allege that the company, emboldened by the support of influential individuals, is attempting to encroach on the nala. This unauthorized construction has sparked public outrage, with many accusing both Irrigation and GHMC officials of turning a blind eye. Residents demand immediate and strict action to prevent further encroachment and protect public land.

Official acknowledges violation

When questioned by local media, a representative from Casagrand claimed that the company possesses all necessary permissions. However, Assistant Engineer of the Irrigation Department, Kishore Verma, acknowledged that placing structures adjacent to the nala was a serious violation. He visited the site personally and promised strict action against the violations.
