Two interstate drug peddlers arrested, seize 200 grams heroin

The sleuths of the Special Operations Team (SOT), LB Nagar Zone, Rachakonda, in coordination with the Neredmet Police, arrested two interstate drug peddlers involved in the illegal trafficking and distribution of Heroin in the city.

Arrested have been identified as Mahesh (28) and Mahipal (19), both the drug peddlers are from Rajasthan state. Police have arrested the drug peddlers and seized 190 grams of Heroin, 10 envelope covers containing 1 gram each heroin, two-wheelers Hero CD Deluxe, two mobile phones, SIM card and small weighing machine from them. All property worth Rs 23 lakh.

The accused Mahesh developed an acquaintance with Samsuddin, a drug peddler residing at Chainpura village in Rajasthan state. Mahesh purchased 200 grams of Heroin from Samsuddin, for which he paid Rs 1 lakh through the PhonePe payment platform.

On January 10, Mahesh arrived in Hyderabad by train and proceeded to stay at his friend Mahipal's residence in Sainik Nagar, RK Puram, Neredmet and informed Mahipal about the Heroin transaction, then the duo decided to sell drugs to customers at a higher price. Mahesh employed ride-hailing services such as Porter, Rapido, and Uber to deliver heroin parcels to his customers.

Since his arrival in Hyderabad, Mahesh had been distributing heroin to various individuals. In an effort to conceal their activities, Mahesh and his associates used different methods, such as booking rides on Rapido, Ola, and Porter to deliver parcels at various locations far from their original address.
