UK PM names PIO Gautam Rangarajan expert adviser

London: British PM Andy Burnham has appointed Indian-origin strategist and media executive Gautam Rangarajan as Expert Adviser on Structure and Process. Rangarajan, a former BBC strategist and musician, takes charge at 10 Downing Street this week in the newly created ro­le. “Gautam brin­gs significant ex­perience in corporate strategy and transformation,” the PMO said.

Burnham has established the Office for the Prime Minister and Cabinet, which will include 10 Downing Street, the newly launched No 10 North in Manchester and teams serving the Prime Minister and Cabinet. 

Rangarajan has more than 20 years of experience in media, creative industries and public service broadcasting, specialising in corporate strategy, organisational transformation and stakeholder relations.
