Actor Varun Tej sustained a knee injury while preparing for his upcoming film Bhari and has successfully undergone surgery, the film’s team confirmed on Wednesday.
Producer Niharika Konidela stated that the injury occurred during rigorous volleyball training, which is a key element of the actor’s role in the film. He was immediately provided medical attention and later underwent surgery, which was completed smoothly. Doctors have confirmed that his condition is stable and that he is currently recovering under expert supervision.
The development has sparked concern among fans and members of the film fraternity, with many extending wishes for his speedy recovery.
Bhari, directed by Yadhu Vamsee, is a rural sports drama with volleyball forming an integral part of its narrative. The film was recently launched with a traditional pooja ceremony, with Pawan Kalyan giving the ceremonial first clap.
