Water fountain at Narayanguda grabs eyeballs

The Mayor highlighted that 224 beautification projects, estimated at Rs 149.84 crore, have been undertaken

On Tuesday evening, a water fountain under the flyover, which was constructed at a cost of Rs 40 lakh was inaugurated by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi.  People passing by stopped for a while to have a dekko at the water fountain.

Additionally, she inaugurated the flyover lighting works worth Rs 10.60 lakh and the decorative lighting works at YMCA Junction worth Rs 37 lakh.

Speaking on the occasion, the Mayor stated that the government is committed to the development of Hyderabad and has undertaken extensive beautification works to enhance the city's appeal for residents and tourists alike. She mentioned that artistic sculptures, innovative themes, and junction improvements have been implemented to inspire youth and children. Beautification works have also been carried out at parks.

These projects include artistic paintings on flyovers, parks, boundary walls, and government buildings, as well as central median and AS railing works, and thematic sculptures at junctions.

The event was attended by Corporator Mahalakshmi, Zonal Commissioner Ravi Kiran, DC Maruthi Diwakar, SE Ratnakar, and other officials.
