Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said that he considers the mandate given by the people of Telangana as a great responsibility and vowed never to misuse his power against political opponents or those who disagree with him. “I am not a fool to use authority against people I dislike. My victory itself is enough pain for my rivals,” the CM remarked.

Speaking at the release of the poetry collection Haasita Bhashpalu authored by poet Sriram at TG Genco Auditorium, Revanth Reddy lauded Telangana’s rich tradition of poets and cultural leaders who inspired the masses during the statehood movement. He said, “True activists never claimed themselves as activists. Great poets like Guda Anjaiah, Ande Sri, Gaddar, and Goreti Venkanna filled the people of Telangana with spirit and aspiration for freedom.”

Revanth Reddy recalled that his political journey, which began in 2006, culminated in his becoming the youngest Chief Minister of Telangana in 17 years. He asserted that his focus remains on public welfare, not personal gain. “Buildings, glass towers, and painted walls are not development. True development is when the poor live with dignity and self-respect,” he said.

Highlighting welfare measures, the CM mentioned 4 lakh Indiramma houses and the supply of ration rice as symbols of empowerment for the poor. He also reiterated his vision of transforming Telangana into a $3 trillion economy by 2047, making it one of the greatest states in the world.

Revanth stressed that he sees no one as his enemy unless they are truly worthy of that stature and assured that he would dedicate his tenure to the progress and pride of the people of Telangana.
