Amaravati is preparing to position itself as a central hub for economic activity, foundation works for 25 bank buildings will be launched simultaneously on November 28. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will attend the ceremony as the chief guest and formally lay the foundation stones.

The event will be held near the CRDA (Capital Region Development Authority) headquarters in Amaravati. In a rare and ambitious move, a single platform will host the groundbreaking for new buildings belonging to 25 national, private and public sector banks, including the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), along with residential complexes for senior officials.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Union Minister P. Chandrasekhar Pemmasani, and state ministers P. Narayana and Nara Lokesh are among the key dignitaries expected to participate in the ceremony.

As part of its broader vision to transform Amaravati into a financial hub, the CRDA has already allotted the required land parcels to the banks. Analysts observe that launching construction for such a large cluster of financial institutions on a single day sends a strong signal of momentum and seriousness in the capital’s development. With the simultaneous initiation of multiple financial infrastructures, observers believe the capital project is poised to regain traction and reshape Andhra Pradesh’s economic landscape.
