Quick commerce platform Zepto on Tuesday unveiled new in-app features, including a 'Pay Later' option and real-time images of fresh produce, as it shifts focus from delivery speed to “behaviour-led commerce.”

The 'Pay Later' facility offers a 15-day, interest-free repayment cycle for high-frequency, low-value orders. Embedded within the app, it enables one-tap checkout without OTPs or third-party redirects, with instant credit of up to Rs 10,000. Zepto Co-Founder Kaivalya Vohra said the service is live for a small user base, with plans to expand soon.

The company also introduced Real Lens, which provides daily-updated, timestamped photographs of fresh items from the nearest store. Users can toggle between catalogue images and actual produce, aiming to build trust, reduce returns, and boost conversions.

Additionally, the 'Add After Checkout' feature allows customers to add forgotten items to an existing order within a defined time window, keeping delivery timelines intact.

With these updates, Zepto is moving beyond the “10-minute delivery race” to reduce shopping friction and offer a smarter, more convenient experience for users.
