All set for Bonalu, giant cut-outs of Dr. Neelima draw attention

Preparations have been completed for the annual Bonalu festival at the Sri Ujjaini Mahakali Temple in Rani Gunj. The festivities, scheduled for August 2 and 3, are expected to witness the participation of lakhs of devotees from across Telangana. Along with the traditional Bonalu celebrations, the revered Rangam (the Goddess's prophetic oracle) ceremony is also set to be a major attraction for devotees. Giant  cut-outs of Dr. Kota Neelima, TPCC Vice President and Congress Party In-charge of the Sanathnagar Assembly Constituency, have been erected across the constituency by Rangoopalpet Division Congress President Trikala Manoj Kumar.

A a 40-foot cut-out has been installed at Paradise Junction and another 30-foot cut-out at the entrance arch of the Sri Ujjaini Mahakali Temple. Manoj Kumar said he prayed to Goddess Ujjaini Mahakali to bless the people of Telangana with peace, prosperity and happiness. He stated that the cut-outs were installed in recognition of Dr. Kota Neelima’s efforts toward addressing public issues and working for the development of the Sanathnagar constituency.
